BogusRed's News

We're back. Now that things have calmed down a bit, I'm getting back into the groove with this project again.

I posted 2 Dragon Mall Quest snips for you today, #7 and #8 (because it seems i never posted 7, oops).

Anyway, we're going to try our best to post one new snip a month because the once a week was too unrealistic for me given a shift in some of my priorities. I actually have three more Dragon Mall Quest snips already lined up for you so stay tuned.

We've also got several more snips already animated. They just need post production work (editing, sound fx, music, credits, etc).

Thank you all for your support.

Hey folks. Due to the impact of the Covid-19 outbreak, I need to take a break from Dragon Mall Quest to focus on the financial security of my family. My county is on "shelter in place" for three weeks and there's a good chance it could last longer than that resulting in job loss. It may be a few months before I can return back to releasing Dragon Mall Quest.

Yeah you thought you heard the last of me but you thought WRONG!

Tomorrow morning we have the first "snip" of our new animated series, Dragon Mall Quest, coming out on our Youtube channel. Dragon Mall Quest is an epic quest of two average guys trying to get by in a mall filled with the chaos and insanity that would only be commonplace in an anime. It is a parody of Japanese anime and games.

Many of the same talented folks who worked on Zarbon's Masterpiece Theater are heavily involved in the creation of this new animated parody series. We've also carried over a few characters.

We'll be posting a new snip every Tuesday on Youtube.

We'll also see about posting it here on Newgrounds. I haven't posted here in ages and have no idea if my format or video length will work. But I'll give it a try. Meanwhile check out the trailer for Dragon Mall Quest from our Youtube channel...

Your comments and reviews mean a lot to us. Thank you for all of the support over the years!

I have been receiving a lot of questions about the series lately and hope to answer some of the common ones here.

Why is the animation so shitty?
We opted for a limited animation style in part because of the length of the episodes audio and to go for more of a Space Ghost type of feel. The episodes are roughly 7-10 minutes in length and it would take forever to animate them. Plus, I have been known to be quite lazy with animating. The best part of the episodes comes from the talents behind the microphone. The visuals are merely there to enhance the show a bit. Originally, this show was intended to be a podcast.

Why don't you get better voice actors? Can I voice act for ZMT?
Our goal wasn't to make great animated films. It was just a bunch of friends getting together and having fun. The team members are against working with people we don't know. This show is purely for our own amusement. Though we appreciate your interest in wanting to become involved.

I have an idea for an episode. May I submit it?
Sorry but the short answer is no. This is because we are ending the series. The guest for the finale has already been decided. However, we are open to suggestions for our new series. You may submit your suggestions to the forums on paperdemonmedia.com

How many episodes are left? Who will be in the next episode?
Currently, there are only two episodes left to be released. The next episode will be Episode 16 with Brolly as the guest. After that, Episode 17 will be the series finale. The guest for the finale episode has NOT yet been announced. We are keeping it secret for now.

Where's Zarbon? Why hasn't he been in the newer episodes?
Our talented voice actor Michael Early moved away a couple years back. Because our show is improvisational and unscripted, it is difficult to do long distance recording. We were able to make a couple episodes (shenlong p1 and p2) using Google Talk to record Michael's voice but there were a lot of difficulties with this process. So we decided to continue the episodes without Michael. There were also some bad feelings amongst other cast members.

Why is the ZMT series ending?
We have decided to end the series in hopes of starting a new one. We learned a lot from this first one and can't wait to apply what we've learned to a new series. Also because our star has moved away, it seems strange to continue the series much further without him.

More of our episodes and information can be found at paperdemonmedia.com.

Hi folks. I'm working on posting all of the Zarbon's Masterpiece Theater episodes to Newgrounds. I will post an episode every month until they've all been posted.

For those of you who are impatient, you can check out our episodes at http://zarbonsmt.paperdemonmedia.com.
